100 renewable energy is also possible with solar power aloneOnly 2 things have been forgotten in the German energy transition: Day/night balancing with batteries, summer/winter balancing with power to methane or methanol.Could Germany work with 100% solar power? Germany is much more difficult than Austria. The European and African plates have collided there and there have been creases. The water runs down the creases so well. That's why we have so much hydropower in Austria. The study says that we can get by with 100% solar power even without wind. Because we can use power to methane, power to methanol or power to hydrogen to save the summer surplus into the winter with considerable losses. Then, in the winter, we can utilize this summer surplus power in the winter. As I said, there is a study of mine that shows that we do not necessarily have to insist on expanding wind power to an extreme extent, but that we could also get by with a strong expansion of solar power. A 2 MW wind power plant has an annual yield of 4 MWh. So about 5 ha settlement has the same annual yield as a 2 MW wind power plant.
